Kalen DeBoer criticizes Jalen Milroe's poor tackle attempt on pick-6 vs. OU
Kalen DeBoer knows the interception itself was crushing enough.
Alabama was already down 17-3 midway through the 3rd quarter, Memorial Stadium was rocking and the Crimson Tide’s offense was going nowhere fast. Then complete disaster struck when quarterback Jalen Milroe threw short in the direction of, well, somebody apparently wearing crimson and white.
But the ball ended up in the waiting hands of Oklahoma linebacker Kip Lewis, who took off down the left sideline. It turned into a 49-yard pick-6, which gave the Sooners a 24-3 lead with 8:05 left in the 3rd quarter and effectively ended things for Alabama on this forgettable night.

DeBoer’s not under any illusions about his porous offense on Saturday, which managed a meager 234 yards. What he would’ve liked to see is a better effort from Milroe in trying to push Lewis out of bounds to at least make the Oklahoma offense have to score the touchdown itself.
“He’s got to find a way to get him out of bounds,” said DeBoer, who said that Milroe is a good enough athlete to be able to force Lewis to the sideline. “Find a way. Find a way to get the defense out there, hold them to a field goal. It’s not something you practice a lot. Find a way. That’s all I’ll say.”

It was an altogether horrible night for Milroe, other than the dreadful pick-6. Milroe was just 11-of-26 passing for 164 yards and 3 interceptions, and he was a total non-factor with his legs.
Milroe and the Crimson Tide will look to finish the regular season strong this Saturday in the Iron Bowl, as resurgent Auburn comes to Tuscaloosa for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
Georgia rise lead the to decline of Alabama football.
I meant led
Choking Georgia is in decline. They have already lost more games this year than the last 3 combined. They are in denouement and headed back down to their historical and rightful spot at 5th/6th SEC. Tennessee made Saban quit and almost put the NCAA in jail. Tennessee is Alabama/Georgia decline.

10. Jan 10, 2024 Saban quits.
You’re all hat not cattle. That’s why you disappeared for a week after you lost to Georgia. You and your white dudes for Harris jammies can leave now.
Do these two trolls who claim to be rival fans ever post anything on articles about their own schools? I mean, I love their obsession with all things Bama because it proves we live rent-free in their heads 24/7. Just such a weird thing that they don’t think it’s weird to be so weird. #RTR
The only thing that’s weird is Alabama having a 3 loss or more season.
Not anymore. It’s just getting started.
And Georgia’s decline has already begun. It was exciting while it lasted…
Yep, Georgia is on the decline. That’s why Georgia is #1 in the recruiting rankings cause they are on the decline.
Their coach demonstrably can’t do anything with that talent and nothing without it. Georgia has a coaching problem.
Before any of you pups retort (that means “clap back” in your native redneckonese language) I get the irony of a Vol fan saying this to you but….. yeah Georgia has killed bama. Their foot must be killing them where you have been continually beating it with your arse
Kirby has stripped Alabama’s recruiting base at every position except wide receiver.
Alabama no longer has 3rd string 4 & 5 star players coming off the bench cause they are starting at Georgia.
Actually they are playing QB at Tennessee. You clearly have no idea what happened.
Georgia has 8 straight winsversus Tennessee. Tennessee is an average football team with no National Championship in sight.
Tennessee is in the playoff with 22,17,10,14 while Georgia is struggling to make it in with 4,3,2,1. The gap is already closing. What will Choking Georgia do when it closes enough?
An unintimidated coach would have let Jalen sit the rest of the game. that cowardly lack of effort was totally unexcusable.
I’m not sure that even qualified as a “tackle attempt”.
