One of the nation’s top uncommitted linebacker prospects is getting closer to ending his recruitment as Duncanville, Texas, native Kendrick Blackshire has trimmed his list down to three Southeastern Conference programs.

Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M all made Blackshire’s list, which he revealed on Monday evening. Blackshire also holds scholarship offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Michigan and USC, among many others.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Duncanville High School standout is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 7 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 152 overall recruit nationally for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Blackshire’s lofty ranking comes despite the fact he missed his entire junior season due to an ACL tear. If he returns to form once he hits the field for his senior year, there’s little doubt Blackshire is going to receive a big boost in the recruiting rankings before arriving on campus.

While he has hit to announce a specific date, Blackshire posted on July 1 that he will be committing “soon” to the school of his choice.

Here is a look at the linebacker’s sophomore season highlight reel, which was with Mesquite Horn in Texas.
