Despite former Alabama RB Kenyan Drake’s pleas on Twitter, it doesn’t appear he’ll be getting the ball that he fired into the stands a couple of weeks ago after beating the New England Patriots will be returned to his possession.

Instead, it is being auctioned off to the highest bidder, per a report from AL.com on Sunday morning.

According to the listing on Auction.SteinerSports.com, the high bid is currently $8,784:

Instead, the Miami Miracle football is going to the highest bidder. The football is part of Steiner Sports’ monthly game-used auction.

At 9:30 a.m. CST Sunday, the football had attracted a high bid of $8,784. Bidding will remain open through Jan. 19.

Drake is only making $705,000 this year in base salary, but maybe QB Ryan Tannehill, who is making about $19 million a year on average, will buy the ball and keep it at the Dolphins’ facility.
