In just over two weeks’ time, we’ll know where one of the top junior college athletes in the nation plans to continue his college football career.

That’s because East Mississippi Community College defensive back Khyree Jackson has announced he plans to publicly announce his college commitment on Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. on his Instagram account, which can be found at real_khyree on the app.

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound Jackson is originally from Maryland but he is poised to potentially become the next star to come out of the original home of “Last Chance U” to play in the Southeastern Conference as both Alabama and Florida are heavily recruiting the East Mississippi C.C. defender.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Jackson is rated as the No. 5 overall junior college prospect in the nation and the No. 2 JUCO cornerback in the 2021 recruiting cycle. In addition to offers from Alabama and Florida, Jackson is considering scholarship offers from Oklahoma and Oregon.
