After two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Kira Lewis Jr. is leaving Alabama for the NBA.

The rising junior made his final decision and announced it on Tuesday with the video featured below.

During his two seasons with the Tide, Lewis appeared in 65 games and averaged 15.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4 assists during that time.

“For as long as I can remember, playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine. As I reflect on my early basketball years, I am truly thankful for the love and support shown by my coaches, teachers, teammates, trainers and fans. To my parents, thank you for always believing in me and being in my corner no matter circumstances.

“I would like to thank the University of Alabama staff, present and former, for allowing a kid from Meridianville, Alabama, to live his dream of playing college basketball.

“Lastly, to all of my supporters, you have all made this a memorable experience and I thank you with all my heart. With that being said, after numerous discussions with my family, I have decided to forego my remaining college eligibility and remain in a draft by hiring an agent. Roll Tide and God bless you all.”
