Though Alabama’s rushing attack has been balanced this season, with 117 attempts outside the tackles and 115 attempts between them, it’s been anything but predictable.

Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is as good a play caller as there is in college football and has adjusted his offense to utilize the strengths of QB Jalen Hurts and RBs Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris.

According to AL.com, Harris said there’s a lot to know when it comes to the Alabama running plays:

“There’s a lot parts to our offense, a lot of motions, a lot of movement,” said running back Damien Harris. “We just have to be focused on our assignment, a lot of people have different jobs and a lot of people have to key in. I think it helps out our offense a lot.”

That, of course, means there’s a lot for opposing defenses to know, too. And, with only a week to prepare for the Crimson Tide, it’s advantage Kiffin and his players.

Texas A&M had a bye last week ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Alabama, so maybe the extra week will help DE Myles Garrett and company slow down the powerful Tide.

If not, it will be a long afternoon for the Aggies.
