Lane Kiffin mocks Nick Saban, Alabama for contradictory Playoff statements

Lane Kiffin took time to get a jab in at Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide in the wake of the loss to Auburn.
The Tide came into the Iron Bowl with an undefeated record but could not keep the strong results going against the Tigers. Auburn outscored Alabama 16-7 in the second half and rolled into the SEC Championship Game with the 26-14 victory.
Following the loss, Saban was asked if Alabama should still have a shot at the Playoff this year despite not playing in the SEC Championship. He said that he believes the Tide should still have an opportunity for what the team has accomplished this season.
Alabama does maintain an impressive resume with an 11-1 record but there is no getting around the fact that Saban previously highlighted the significance of conference championships when discussing the Playoff.
TrojanInsider.com tweeted a graphic of the differences between Saban’s comments from last year to this season:

Kiffin definitely noticed the tweet and offered a ‘rat poison’ jab Tuesday:
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Can u rat poison urself? https://t.co/ABtCCn0dwB

As most fans remember, Kiffin spent three seasons as the OC at Alabama before being replaced leading up to the Playoff Championship last season. His latest jab at the Tide is certainly a little salt in the wound following the loss to Auburn while Alabama waits to find out if it will make the Playoff.
