The Las Vegas Raiders have released Henry Ruggs III following his arrest this week following an overnight car wreck that left a 23-year-old woman dead.
Ruggs is expected to face a judge on Wednesday after he was jailed on felony charges in connection with a fiery crash, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Late Tuesday night, the Raiders announced that he was released from the team.
Ruggs, 22, was injured in the Tuesday morning crash but was released from a hospital in the afternoon and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of DUI resulting in death and reckless driving. He is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court.
