LOOK: Alabama attendance sparse for Cupcake Week game vs. The Citadel

While cold weather and snowy conditions hound much of the Midwest and East Coast, it looks like it’s a nice day in Tuscaloosa.

However, that didn’t lead to a packed house for No. 1 Alabama’s game against The Citadel on Saturday afternoon.

As you can see below, the student section and many other sections at Bryant-Denny Stadium were well below capacity at kickoff on Saturday:

Obviously, a game against a team like The Citadel isn’t going to inspire much of a reaction in the fanbase, but since this is the No. 1 team in the country, you’d think there’d be a bit more fan support.

One thing is for sure — coach Nick Saban has noticed the lack of attendance and will likely have something to say in the postgame press conference.
