The Crimson Tide lost a tremendous amount of talent from the 2016 football team that made it to a second consecutive national championship

Jalen Hurts, Bo Scarbrough, Calvin Ridley, JK Scott, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Bradley Bozeman are key returning players for Alabama. Despite these talented pieces returning, this is one of the most unknown teams Nick Saban has had in his tenure at Alabama.

Stalwarts O.J. Howard, Jonathan Allen and others were staples for Alabama in recent years. Now, new faces will step into the voids and try and continue the dynasty Saban has created. Typically, he and his staff do a marvelous job of reloading and reshaping the number of talented recruits that sign to play in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Many who don’t follow or cover the team will be unfamiliar with the new group of players that will rep the signature “A” on Saturdays. The names won’t be as familiar as year’s past.

The depth chart of the Alabama defense and offense is shown below.

Alabama and these new players will be tested early, kicking off their season against Florida State Saturday night at 8 on ABC.
