Alabama has some ground to make up in the 2018 team recruiting rankings. The Tide currently sit at No. 6 in the nation according to 247Sports Composite Team Rankings with just over a week until National Signing Day.

Judging by the talent the Crimson Tide had on campus this weekend, Alabama has a great opportunity to make a big jump up the rankings when prospects start signing scholarship papers on National Signing Day.

A common theme among prospects that visited Tuscaloosa this weekend? Alabama wanted them to pose with Nick Saban or the National Championship Trophy the school just won. Pretty hard for any other program to make a compelling case why any recruit should sign with any other program over the Tide given the unmatched success of Saban’s dynasty.

Among the nationally elite prospects in town were Under Armour All-American receiver Jacob Copeland, the No. 1 wideout from the Sunshine State:

Under Armour All-American and five-star cornerback Olaijah Griffin, the No. 3 CB in the nation from Los Angeles:

U.S. Army All-American and four-star cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart, the No. 4 CB in the nation from San Diego:

And recently minted four-star cornerback Eddie Smith of Louisiana. He’s the top-ranked CB from the Pelican State:

Should Alabama land all of these prospects, don’t be surprised to see the Tide catapult all the way up the 2018 recruiting rankings. While schools like Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, among others, are all after these prospects, only one program can prove it knows how to capture the Playoff trophy.
