Former Alabama DL Damion Square has been in the NFL since 2013, when he went undrafted. First, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, then went to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014.

Since signing with the Los Angeles (then San Diego) Chargers in 2014, he has been with the team ever since.

Now, it appears he’ll be back for another year with the Chargers, as the team announced they had re-signed the nose tackle on Monday:

Square won three national championships during his time in Alabama. During his NFL career, he’s recorded 74 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

How will he fare this year? The Chargers have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL, so he’ll likely be a key backup as the season wears on.
