LT Overton delivered a crushing hit on Wisconsin QB Braedyn Locke on Saturday.

Locke was only in the game because starting QB Tyler Van Dyke exited with an injury. After the Overton sack, though, there’s no question that Locke is also feeling some pain.

The Badgers had a 1st & 10 around midfield when Locke ran into Overton while trying to escape from other pressure. The ball popped out immediately, but the Badgers were able to fall on it and maintain control.

That was the 1st sack of the season for Overton, who transferred to Alabama after 2 seasons at Texas A&M.

Through 23 games in College Station, Overton racked up 48 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. The transfer should play a major rotational role in 2024 next to Jah-Marien Latham, Tim Keenan III, and Tim Smith.

Overton’s Crimson Tide are making things tough for the Badgers so far. The Badgers gained just 60 total yards of offense in the 1st quarter and were held out of the end zone. The Tide had a 7-3 lead after the 1st quarter.

The Tide are seeking to stay perfect on the season and earn a quality win over a Power 4 opponent. The Badgers, meanwhile, are looking to pull off a huge upset at home.
