Mac Jones has been accused of making a dirty play on Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner during the Patriots’ win over New York on Sunday.

During a scuffle after a hard hit, Gardner claims that Jones intentionally hit Gardner below the belt, prompting Gardner to shove him to the ground.

Gardner’s reaction was probably appropriate given the situation, if that is what happened.

The play was definitely frustrating for Gardner, and he said after the game that he was going to need some time to recover.

“I do have to ice up,” Gardner said after the game. “He’s trying to stop me from having kids in the future.”

It was probably even more frustrating for Gardner that his team couldn’t come away with the win over the Patriots. New England ended up taking the game over the Jets 15-10, and Jones had 201 yards and a touchdown.

It’s been a frustrating season so far for the Jets. Since losing quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the first game of the season, the Jets have had a slow start to the season.
