Mac Jones got his first NFL start on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and looked like he fit the part as an NFL starting quarterback.

And before halftime, the former Alabama star threw his first NFL touchdown, a seven-yard pass to Nelson Agholor with 2:35 left in the first half to give New England a 10-7 lead. Earlier in the game, former Alabama teammate Tua Tagovailoa opened the scoring with a three-yard run.

Jones began the game 14-for-19 passing for 133 yards with the touchdown, and he absorbed one sack.

Tagovailoa, meanwhile, started 7-for-14 passing for 114 yards and a sack allowed. Tagovailoa had just one rush for 3 yards, the play he scored on the touchdown.

It looks to be an exciting finish in New England for the former Alabama QBs.
