Mac Jones joins exclusive club of rookie QBs after strong outing for Patriots against Jets
It was a good Sunday for Mac Jones and the New England Patriots. The rookie quarterback led the Patriots to a 54-13 win over their AFC East rivals.
In the win, Jones was 24-of-36 passing for 307 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jones’ performance puts him in an exclusive club of rookie QBs to pass for 225+ yards and a TD.
On Sunday, Mac Jones became the fourth rookie quarterback all-time with at least 225 passing yards and a touchdown pass in five consecutive games, joining Dak Prescott (eight in 2016), Justin Herbert (seven in 2020) and Deshaun Watson (five in 2017), per NFL release.

Jones will look to keep that streak going in Week 8 when the Pats head west to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. This season, Jones is 150-of-211 passing for 1,472 yards, 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
