Mac Jones will miss a game for the first time in his young NFL career. The New England Patriots quarterback was ruled out of Sunday’s game with a high ankle sprain according to a report from ESPN’s Field Yates.

Jones, a first-round pick (15th overall) for the Patriots in the 2021 NFL Draft, started all 17 games last season, throwing for 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns.

He has struggled in his sophomore NFL season, throwing for 786 yards, 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions through 3 games.

Jones led Alabama to a College Football Playoff national championship in 2020, throwing for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns.
