Malachi Moore has spent 5 seasons as a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide defense. The defender just wrapped up his final season with the team and will now enter his name in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Moore took to Instagram to share a heartfelt letter with the Alabama faithful. The defender thanked God, his family and friends, his teammates, and his coaches and described his time in Tuscaloosa as a “dream come true.”

Moore’s letter mentioned the fact that the DB won a National Championship, 3 SEC Championships, and went 5-0 against Auburn. The Alabama native also gave a shoutout to the fans, calling them the “best in college football.”

Before heading to Tuscaloosa, Moore starred for Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, AL. The DB was rated as a 4-star prospect and the 247Sports Composite ranking had Moore as the No. 19 safety and No. 9 prospect out of Alabama in the 2020 class. Moore chose Alabama over offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, and more.

Moore spent his first 4 seasons under Nick Saban and stayed and became a leader when Kalen DeBoer took over.

“All these memories are ones that I will cherish forever. Thank you, Alabama,” ended Moore’s letter.

Over 64 career games with Alabama, Moore racked up 214 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 7 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles. 2024 was Moore’s best season with the DB collecting 70 tackles, 3 TFLs, and 1 INT.
