One of the most physical plays in the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns game came between former Alabama DB Marlon Humphrey and former LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Humprey lost control of his emotions midway through the game Sunday and was caught on video choking Beckham, who threw a punch in the exchange, on the ground as officials and other players intervened.

It came late in the third quarter on a screen pass where Cleveland QB Baker Mayfield completed the play to Dontrell Hilliard for 19 yards. But that’s when the flurry of off-setting penalties for unnecessary roughness came in.

The players jostled as the play ended and as they fell to the ground, Humphrey continued to choke Beckham on the ground.

After the game, Humphrey told Jamison Hensley of ESPN, “I ran into him after the game and apologized,” Humphrey said, according to Pro Football Talk. “It’s not really the brand of football I want to represent. The whistle blowed. It has to be over with.”

For his part, Beckham, who had two catches for 20 yards in the 40-25 win, said, “I’m just upset I lost my earring.”
