Alabama has won 6 of the last 12 national championships and is in pursuit of the first back-to-back national titles since 2011 and 2012.

Former Southern Cal stars Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush are fully invested in another Alabama title run, and the FOX Sports analysts explained why.

“They don’t rebuild, they just reload every year and I know they lost a tremendous amount of talent from a year ago,” Leinart said. “… Crazy stat, guys, there’s been 7 times in Nick Saban’s tenure at Alabama where they’ve started a new quarterback — his first year starting. Six of those 7 times they got to the national championship game. Think about that?! That’s crazy.”

Leinart went on to say that QB Bryce Young is a star in the making.

Even though Alabama is replacing 8 All-Americans from last season, Bush believes coach Nick Saban has created a long-term foundation for the program.

“The one thing that Nick Saban has done a great job there; he created culture. So when you have culture, it’s about the pieces you have fitting into that culture. Right?!,” Bush said. “He has something there that kids believe in… that they want to go to….that they know, when I come to Alabama I’m gonna be developed for the next level. Because he runs a professional style football team, pro-style offense. Which is why right after [Steve] Sarkisian left, who did he go out and hire? He went and got Bill O’Brien because he wanted to keep that pro-style system going at Alabama because look what it does for the program.”
