Media reacts to news that Nick Saban is much closer to coaching against Georgia
Could Nick Saban be on Alabama’s sideline on Saturday as the head coach? It appears there’s a greater chance of that happening now than previously thought.
Alabama revealed Friday that Saban tested negative for COVID-19 on Thursday (after his previous positive test was announced Wednesday), so he would be allowed to coach with two more negative tests. And that would certainly be a boost for the Crimson Tide for their huge matchup against Georgia on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
As the news that Saban could in fact be coaching this week hit social media, there was plenty of reaction from members of the media. Here’s some of what they were saying:

At this point, I believe the odds are better that he’ll be coaching at the game than not https://t.co/w1twLpofhL

I can't imagine Alabama would put out that release if his Friday test came back positive. It seems like it will come down to Saturday's test and he could be on the field after all.

Nick Saban humiliated COVID-19. The virus clearly doesn’t run tempo or stretch the field vertically.
