Tua Tagovailoa is expected to serve as the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins in 2023.

NFL insider Adam Schefter announced the news on Twitter on Sunday morning.

Mixed opinions have surrounded the former Alabama standout and what his ceiling is for some time now, but he’s proven his supporters right on several occasions and for the better part of the beginning of his career, it could be argued that what he had around him was not adequate. Dealing with injury issues that date back to the tightrope procedure he had back in college also have added to the adversity.

Tagovailoa finished out the 2022 season with a 64.8% completion rate, 3,548 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. How he builds on things going into Year 4 of his NFL career will be something to watch.
