The Michigan Wolverines have been revealed as the No. 1 team for the 2023 College Football Playoff. The Washington Huskies are No. 2 and the Texas Longhorns are No. 3.

The Michigan crowd was eagerly watching the selection show to see who they would play in the first round. When it was revealed that the Alabama Crimson Tide snagged the No. 4 spot, the Michigan crowd let out an audible groan.

Many thought the Florida State Seminoles had a chance to get the No. 4 spot, but the committee ultimately picked the Tide over the Noles in a highly-debated decision.

Some members of the crowd were nervously clapping, but it was obvious the crowd was hoping for another result. The Seminoles were given the No. 5 spot and the Georgia Bulldogs were given the No. 6 spot.

The Michigan crowd clearly would rather face a banged-up Florida State team than the Tide. The Wolverines will take on the Tide in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Washington Huskies and Texas Longhorns, who are playing in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
