The Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Cleveland Browns, 22-17, on Sunday. It was another disappointing performance for Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz: despite 2 touchdowns, he also threw 2 interceptions, giving him a league-high 14 in that category.

Philadelphia’s next game is on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, and it comes in the midst of calls for Doug Pederson to make a change behind center. That would put former Alabama and Oklahoma great Jalen Hurts in line for his first career start.

As it turns out, several Seahawks players, including wide receiver DK Metcalf and running back Deejay Dallas, would love to see the rookie getting the nod over Wentz.

Of course, Metcalf and Dallas may have their own reasons for wanting to see Hurts out there instead of Wentz. Metcalf certainly still has a chip on his shoulder after he was passed over by the Eagles in the 2nd round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Philly, of course, took JJ Arcega-Whiteside, who hasn’t come close to having the impact that Metcalf has had since entering the league.

We’ll see if it’s Hurts or Wentz that is out there for the Eagles in due time. Either way, despite being in the hunt for an NFC East title, they’re a team in need of serious help.
