Alabama running back Najee Harris is officially off the board. The Pittsburgh Steelers chose Harris with the No. 24 pick overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Harris’ rise to stardom at Alabama wasn’t a surprise. Exiting high school from Antioch, California, the talented running back was rated the No. 1 at his position in the 2017 recruiting class, including the No. 2 prospect overall. So, everyone figured he’d eventually become a star for the Tide.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Harris had quiet freshman and sophomore seasons; however, his junior year was just a snippet of his ridiculous senior campaign. In 2019, Harris rushed for 1,224 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also added 7 receiving touchdowns and could have easily opted for the NFL Draft.

Harris, however, chose to return to Alabama for his senior season, and it turned out to be a great choice. He rushed for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns, while adding another 43 catches and 4 receiving touchdowns. He helped lead Alabama to yet another national championship under Nick Saban.

The beastly running back has all the tools to become an immediate NFL weapon and is one of the more complete backs in recent history.
