The Pittsburgh Steelers chose Alabama star RB Najee Harris with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The team is counting on him to revamp its sluggish running game. So, on Thursday night, with the Steelers taking on the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame preseason game, Pittsburgh fans were excited to get a first look at the former Crimson Tide standout.

He didn’t disappoint. The Steelers got the ball first, and Harris got his first NFL carry on the second play of the game, toting it 6 yards for a first down:

To make things even better, Harris picked up his first career NFL reception on the very next play:

The Steelers fumbled the ball away later in the possession, but it was a solid debut for Harris. How much more action he gets in this game in Canton, Ohio, remains to be seen.
