Two of Alabama’s basketball players from last season will be moving on from the program as Joshua Primo and Jaden Shackelford both recently made decisions that have ended their playing careers in Tuscaloosa.

According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, Primo plans to stay in the 2021 NBA Draft and has hired an agent, thus ending his college career.

“Going into this draft, it was a test-the-waters situation, but as time went on and I continued to get feedback, it became more real each and every day,” Primo told ESPN. “I’m ready to help a winning franchise. I talked to Coach [Nate] Oats a lot. He wants what’s best for me and is right behind me.”

Primo averaged 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists for the Tide last season.

In addition to that news, Shackelford has made the decision to keep his name in the draft as well as enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

Shackelford averaged 14 points, 3.8 rebounds and two assists per game for the Crimson Tide last season.
