Nate Oats reacts to Saturday's blowout loss at Oklahoma, discusses how Tide will move forward
Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide suffered an awful loss on Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
The then-No. 2 Crimson Tide went to unranked Oklahoma and lost to the Sooners 93-69 — one of the worst losses ever for a top-2 team to an unranked opponent.
Alabama hosts Vanderbilt on Tuesday night, so there’s not much time to get back on track for that upcoming game. Oats said on Monday that he doesn’t mind the quick turnaround:
Nate Oats: "The good thing about basketball is you get to play (again) right away. After Saturday's performance, we're looking forward to playing right away and trying to fix it."

He added that the Monday practice was intense, with a scrimmage that featured several players with high energy:
Nate Oats on today's practice: "It was a lot more intense. We had two teams that got after it. Some guys coming off the bench, I think, were playing extremely hard."

Alabama is still a perfect 8-0 in SEC play. The loss to the Sooners didn’t affect the Tide’s standing in conference action.
Tuesday night’s game is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on the SEC Network.
