Atlanta Falcons update Julio Jones’ status for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs
If the Falcons are going to pull off an upset of the Kansas City Chiefs, the team with the best record in the NFL this season, they are going to need all the help they can get. The Falcons are 4-10 on the season.
Unfortunately, that daunting task just got even more difficult as Atlanta has officially ruled Julio Jones out for the game this weekend.
Jones has played in nine games this season for the Falcons, catching 51 passes for 771 yards and three touchdowns.
In addition to being down Jones’ services, the Falcons have announced a trio of starters will miss the game: Darqueze Dennard and offensive linemen Alex Mack and James Carpenter won’t play against the Chiefs.
Those may not be the only absences in the lineup, either, as wide receiver Brandon Powell, safety Ricardo Allen and defensive tackle Marlon Davidson are all listed as questionable heading into the matchup.
Sunday’s game is set to be played at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT from Arrowhead Stadium.
