Mark Ingram was No. 22 during his time in Tuscaloosa, where he rushed for 3,261 yards, 42 touchdowns and won the 2009 Heisman Trophy.

Ingram went on to be selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

After starting his NFL career wearing No. 28, Ingram switched back to No. 22 before wearing No. 21 during his two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. This offseason, Ingram signed with the Texans.

Now that the NFL has changed its rules and allows more skill-position players to wear single-digit numbers, Ingram recently revealed he would be wearing No. 2 with the Houston Texans.

Here is how Ingram revealed the news.

During his 10 years in the NFL, Ingram has rushed for 7,324 yards and 62 touchdowns. He’s also caught 260 passes for 1,895 yards and another 10 touchdowns.
