We have a wild story to share as a California-based cannabis company is suing former Alabama receiver and current Titans receiver Julio Jones, along with former NFL receiver Roddy White.

The cannabis company, Genetixs, is accusing White’s company, called SLW Holdings, of fraud and money laundering. It’s important to note, however, that the attorney hired by Jones and White calls the lawsuit against them “meritless” according to the Tennessean.

Genetixs is claiming SLW Holdings operated and profited off of a black-market cannabis operation.

Here is the statement attorney Rafe Emanuel issued following the filing of the lawsuit:

“The vague allegations against SLW Holdings LLC and it’s members Roddy White and Julio Jones are meritless. In May, SLW obtained a temporary restraining order in a related civil case to prevent unlawful conduct involving Genetixs LLC. In reply, the defendants argued conspiracy theories that were not proven by evidence in court, nor were they substantiated before any agency.

“We look forward to again defending these conspiracy theories against my clients in court.”
