Washington has just locked up a cornerstone of the team’s defense.

After four seasons with the team, Johnathan Allen has agreed to a four-year, $72 million extension to stay in Washington according to the official NFL Twitter account.

That’s quite the contract for the former first-round pick out of Alabama in the 2017 NFL Draft.

During his time in the NFL, Allen has registered 202 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 17 sacks with 45 quarterback hits.

Now he will continue to be wreaking havoc in Washington for the foreseeable future.
