Nick Saban was visibly upset with how Alabama ended the first half against Texas A&M even though the Crimson Tide had a 3-point lead.
In his interview with Jenny Dell of CBS Sports, Saban said Jalen Milroe, for example, needs to take care of the ball better.
“He’s got to get 2 hands on the ball in the pocket,” Saban said. “They stripped him twice which led to both of their touchdowns. We played pretty well on defense except after those turnovers. So we can’t turn the ball over and we can’t get stupid penalties when we’ve got a chance to score. So we’ve got to play with more discipline.”
Alabama had 2 lost fumbles and an interception as Milroe filled in for Bryce Young, who was out with an injured shoulder.
Alabama led the game with 216 total yards, but both of the Aggies’ scores were on relatively short fields, including a 6-play, 30-yard drive, and a 4-play, 49-yard drive.
