Nick Saban has a rule with his team about talking trash, but it obviously is broken from time to time.

Saban said that seeing his players break the rule of not talking to the other team, including in practice, ‘upsets me to no end.’ He knows that there is a certain type of player that tends to break the rule — the ones that are more arrogant.

“But it still happens. The more arrogant you are, probably the more it happens,” Saban said on Hey Coach on Wednesday night. “I hate to say that. I hate to say that about any player. I hate to say that about any player on our team. The more arrogant you are, the more you think you’re being disrespected when you somebody says something to you and you react poorly to it, and bad things happen.”

Saban is hoping none of his players will violate the rule on Saturday as Alabama takes on Auburn in the Iron Bowl. The matchup almost always seems to be a good one, and the Tigers are looking for a big upset this weekend.
