If there was one quarterback who gave Alabama trouble last season, it was Ole Miss QB Matt Corral, who put up 365 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Crimson Tide in a 63-48 loss. Nick Saban is well aware of the challenges of facing Corral and the high-powered Rebels offense this week.

“Matt Corral, he played really well against us last year,” Saban said Monday at his weekly press conference. “He’s very elusive, he can extend plays, he’s a very accurate passer. He can make plays with his feet. He’s as talented as anyone we’ve seen run or pass in a long time.”

Corral has already thrown for 1,006 yards this season, with 9 touchdowns and no interceptions. Among the top 50 quarterbacks in yards per game this season, Corral is one of 2 that has not thrown an interception.

Corral also has 5 rushing touchdowns and 158 rushing yards on 33 carries.
