No one actually needs to be told how important this year’s Iron Bowl between No. 1 Alabama and No. 6 Auburn is — the numbers in front of each team’s name takes care of that.

Both squads have hopes of making the College Football Playoff, and the winner will also advance to the SEC Championship Game.

This won’t be Alabama coach Nick Saban’s first Iron Bowl rodeo, but on Wednesday, he admitted that he still realizes it is a huge game for both teams:

This will be the toughest test the Crimson Tide have faced all year, as they’ll hit the road to play at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

A win would basically cement the Crimson Tide as one of the final four Playoff teams, while a loss would leave them sweating it out in a couple of weeks.

Check out Saturday afternoon’s action at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on CBS.
