Nick Saban doesn't let his teams watch scary movies before games. Here's why
Before game day, it’s normal for the team to get together and watch a pregame movie. This is something that Alabama coach Nick Saban has done over the years with his teams.
During an interview with John Talty, the author of “The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban: How Alabama’s Coach Became The Greatest Ever” on The Andy Staples Show, they recalled a story from one pregame movie when Saban was the head coach at LSU.
At the 19 minute mark, they discuss how after the Bluegrass Miracle, Saban took the Tigers to see The Ring, which was the true definition of a horror film. At the time, the Lord of the Rings movies were really popular and both Staples and Talty speculated that Saban thought it was a similar movie. Needless to say, it didn’t go well and the Tigers got blown out.
After that incident, Saban took more ownership in picking the movie so that didn’t happen again.
HAHAHA! That’s because they all gather at Backpedaling Fragile Nicky’s house and watch his favorite movie “The Crying Game”…..
The man has won 7 national championships in less than 20 years with 2 different teams, which were both down when he took over, and he has consistently won 11+ game seasons while having to replace coaches every year pretty much. I understand that you don’t like him having so much success with his team, but I don’t understand the disrespect, especially since he doesn’t talk smack and is respectful towards the teams he plays.
Jawjuh fans are completely and utterly obsessed with Alabama.
It’s quite sad
Jawga is in the middle of their 1 win NC dynasty. The distance from ear to ear with these critters is a long lonely stretch of vast emptiness.
Read my evaluation of 2008 I am very close to correct about that critter.
Hopefully you are an anomaly on your family tree. But my guess is stupid in your family runs all the way back to first wooden ships that landed. You are one ignant @ss wipe boy.
This comment was for you 2008.
It’s just such a good feeling to be the National Champions and hold that trophy up high. I look forward to Georgia doing it again in 2023!
Double the pride, twice the fall. Good luck but I just don’t see it.
If Jawga loses she will just her screen name. Saw it happen many times on al.com. Dougie just keeps coming back with a new screen name, like a canker sore.
Change her screen name.
Anything you do before a game other than keep your football challenges in front of your mind does not work, but scary movies are about the worst. Most athletes won’t do it, but sometimes a group of players will get distracted like this and the result makes you shake your head and mumble “how do I watch them 24/7/365”
