Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide took a 28-0 lead into halftime against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. For most coaches, this would be an encouraging first half. For Saban, however, he wants to see more in the 2nd half.

Saban told the SEC Network at the half that he wanted his team to control the line of scrimmage better in the 2nd half. Saban also mentioned that Jalen Milroe “didn’t do anything wrong,” in the 1st half. This qualifies as a glowing review for Saban.

The Crimson Tide gained 210 total yards of offense in the 1st half, as 112 of those yards came through the air and 98 came on the ground. The Tide went 6-for-8 on 3rd downs and gained 13 first downs.

The Blue Raider defense did a decent job of getting pressure on Milroe, ending the 1st half with 2 sacks. Knowing Saban, that is 2 sacks too many. Expect the Bama offense to come out in the 2nd half looking to put up some more points.
