Nick Saban has seen some great quarterbacks in his day — both as a coach in college and during his time as an NFL assistant.

But, who are the best of the best he’s ever seen? He was asked that question in a post-practice press conference on Thursday.

The answers he gave were John Elway, Dan Marino and Tom Brady, though he did give Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence a big-time shoutout:

Those guys all have very different styles, but they were (or are, in the case of Brady) some of the best ever to step on an NFL field.

Will Lawrence follow in their footsteps? We’ll see if Alabama gets another crack at him if both teams make it to the College Football Playoff.
