Alabama isn’t sure if injured DL Christian Barmore will be back for the Missouri game, but the Crimson Tide will know more on Monday when he is set to return to practice.

“He’s doing very well,” Saban told reporters on Wednesday, per Roger Hoover. “We’re hopeful by Monday of next week he’ll be able to do some things in practice. That’s the prognosis for right now, too early to tell if he’ll be ready for the first game.”

When Saban announced Barmore’s injury several days ago, he said, “Barmore has certainly been one of our best pass-rushers,” Saban said. “He’s going to be out for a few days with a knee injury. Not significant, not serious. He didn’t work today, but he has done really, really well.”

Barmore has been listed as a possible first-round draft pick in some mock drafts previewing the 2021 NFL Draft.

Barmore is one of Alabama’s best pass rushers, and the redshirt sophomore is listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds. He was listed the No. 17 defensive tackle coming out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Neumann Goretti).

Last season, he was named to the Freshman All-SEC team by the league coaches as he appeared in 12 games with one start. He totaled 26 tackles, including six for loss and two sacks.
