Nick Saban praises Cadillac Williams for succeeding in a difficult situation

Nick Saban praised Auburn interim head coach Cadillac Williams ahead of Week 13’s Iron Bowl rivalry game.
Saban said that Williams has done very well in a situation that was not easy. Auburn is 2-1 since Williams took over with wins over Texas A7M and Western Kentucky, losing a narrow one in overtime to Mississippi State.
And hey, never say never in a rivalry game.
Saban on Cadillac Williams: “They’re playing really well right now, and I think you’ve gotta give Cadillac a lot of credit for that because it’s not an easy situation that he inherited relative to a changing of the guard right in the middle of the season.”

There are some who believe Auburn should retain Williams as head coach after the season, a thought that would have more credence if the Tigers were to do the unthinkable and down the No. 7 Crimson Tide Saturday at 3:30.
That’s a pretty big “if.”
