Nick Saban praises players who will be honored on Iron Bowl Senior Day

The Iron Bowl will take place this Saturday and it’s also going to serve as Alabama’s Senior Day. Seventeen Alabama seniors will be honored in Tuscaloosa during the in-state rivalry game.
Leading into the matchup, Alabama coach Nick Saban praised the seniors for their commitment to the program on and off the field. Saban commended the seniors for being outstanding ambassadors for the university during the past 4 years.
Saban: "Saturday being Senior Day, we're honoring 17 seniors that have contributed amazingly well to this program, not only winning 46 games, a national championship and two SEC titles but the class they've represented the university with."

UA will honor these seniors Saturday: Jordan Battle, Bret Bolin, Darrian Dalcourt, DJ Dale, Emil Ekiyor, Tyler Harrell, DeMarcco Hellams, Grant Krieger, Cameron Latu, Jaylen Moody, Gabe Pugh, Kendall Randolph, Will Reichard, Jackson Roby, Tyler Steen, Henry To’oTo’o, Byron Young.

Alabama enters the contest ranked No. 7 in the CFP with a 9-2 overall record. Alabama blanked visiting Austin Peay 34-0 last weekend.
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young completed 18 of his 24 passes for 221 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Young threw both of his touchdowns to Jermaine Burton, who finished with 7 receptions for 128 yards. Alabama running back Jase McClellan rushed for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Alabama leads the all-time series 48-37-1 vs. Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Alabama is on a 2-game winning streak against Auburn. Alabama edged Auburn 24-22 in a 4OT thriller last season. Auburn’s last victory in the series was a 48-45 win at home on Nov. 30, 2019.
The 87th Iron Bowl is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
