Nick Saban provides another update on Tua Tagovailoa's ankle injury
A big storyline ahead of a matchup between Alabama and LSU on Nov. 9 will be Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa’s recovery from ankle surgery.
There’s no definite timetable for his return yet, but Alabama coach Nick Saban seems encouraged from the early signs.
On SEC Network’s “SEC Nation” on Saturday morning, Saban said Tagovailoa is doing even better than expected so far (via 247Sports):
“He’s absolutely doing even better than expected,” Saban told ESPN’s Tom Luginbill during an interview that aired on SEC Nation. “Didn’t have a lot of swelling this time around, so that sort of extenuates the ability to rehab. And he’s doing well.”
That’s encouraging, as the Tide need Tagovailoa healthy for that LSU showdown to keep pace with the Tigers’ high-powered offense.
Will he be close to 100% for that game? We’ll find out more as the next few days progress.
Maybe a case of “Be careful what you wish for”, but I hope he’s nearly 100% for the LSU game. I want both teams to be healthy and ready to put on a show for the college football viewing public.
Lol ok dude. LSU has been irrelevant since 2011 and all of sudden you cajuns think theyre unbeatable. Tua is 100 times better than Burrow, even at 80%. Stay humble cajun. LSU hasnt won anything yet. Make it to the playoffs first.
Humble? Ok clown.
LSUABC,, but you’re so humble is almost sickening.
Didn’t you tell another poster about all your incomes? Heck I’m impressed!
Go ahead and tell ever on why Jimbo didn’t take the LSU job. I bet they will be amazed.
Your still an idiot begging for my attention. There, I threw you a bone. I trust you are happy now. How sad.
That’s good to hear. Once he starts putting weight on it and making cuts we will know more for sure…
