If there’s one player, perhaps outside of quarterback Jalen Hurts, that Alabama could least afford to lose moving forward, it’s do-it-all defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to Alabama Saturday night against LSU. While successfully defending a deep ball, Fitzpatrick pulled up at the tail end of the play with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. On a positive note, the junior defensive back managed to leave the field under his own power after the injury.

Immediately after the game, Nick Saban offered the following update on his All-American defender, suggesting the team isn’t quite sure how bad the injury is as of Saturday night.

After being named a Freshman All-American during his true freshman season, Fitzpatrick was named an All-American by multiple outlets as a sophomore last season.
