After watching the Iron Bowl from home, Nick Saban will be back on the sidelines Saturday.

On his weekly radio show, Saban shared that he is making the trip to Baton Rouge.

“Yeah, I’ll be there,” Saban said. “I think my time is up, so I’m ready to get back in the swing of things.

“I’m cleared tomorrow to travel with the team.”

Saban tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 25, Wednesday of Alabama-Auburn week. SEC protocols mandated that he isolate for 10 days from the positive test. Earlier in the show, Saban shared that an IV and plasma treatment led to a complete turnaround:

“Whatever was in this plasma deal, it knocked [all the symptoms] out in one day,” Saban said. “From Thursday on, I’ve felt great and 100 percent. I would certainly recommend that treatment for anybody that could get it.”

Saban has continued to handle media responsibilities, including Saturday’s postgame press conference, while sidelined by COVID.

Saban will look to lead the Crimson Tide to a revenge win over his former team after LSU won 46-41 in Tuscaloosa last season, snapping an 8-game UA winning streak in the SEC West rivalry. Saban has lost to LSU just 4 times since taking the Alabama job in 2007.
