Nick Saban reveals what he tells recruits looking to commit to Alabama

Nick Saban has set the standard for coaching in college football.
You’d figure that a man with the number of titles he has shouldn’t have any trouble luring high school players to Tuscaloosa. And, more often than not, it’s true, as the Crimson Tide are one of the top recruiting teams in the country year in and year out.
It doesn’t look like the machine is slowing down anytime soon, either. The Tide currently has the No. 4 recruiting class in the country for 2022, ranking No. 1 in the SEC.
What’s the message that Saban shares with high schoolers that are looking to make their pledge to the program, though? For him, it’s more than just deciding what school to attend.
“[I say] ‘I don’t want you to commit to Alabama,’ and they look at me like I’m crazy,” Saban said on his weekly radio show on Thursday. “I say, ‘I want you to commit to all the things that we’re gonna do here to help you be successful as a person, as a student and as a player.'”
So far, the process seems to be working just fine. And as other programs across the country look to replicate what Saban’s done, he stands in a class by himself.
