The Tide scored on the second play of the game, as QB Jalen Hurts took it 55 yards to the house.
Speaking of Hurts, he had a big game, totaling 282 yards and three TDs in the win. The Tide’s defense surrendered 274 total yards to the Bulldogs.
Nick Saban met with the media to discuss Saturday’s win:

Saban on Lester Cotton: He just got dinged a little so we took him out based on the situation in the game.

Saban on Tua: I thought Tua did a pretty good job in the game. Took a sack when he shouldn't have taken a sack.

Saban: I thought our consistency on offense was a little better. Jalen Hurts scored on the first three or four times he was in there.

Saban on Jalen Hurts: He did a nice job today. He threw the ball to the right place. Took what the defense gave. Like to see more explosive

Saban: It was an opportunity to play a lot of players. I don't think we played as well on defense today.

Saban on OLBs: We obviously have a lot of work to do at that position.
Said there are things fans don't notice.
