Nick Saban answered a question regarding Jermaine Burton supposedly striking a female Tennessee fan as spectators rushed the field following the Vols’ win Saturday.

He said the team would handle discipline internally, but also mentioned that fans rushing the field in the first place presents a “difficult circumstance” that the team has to be aware of.

Some fans are accusing Saban of hinting that the field rushing was the catalyst for Burton’s actions, though he does say the team still “has to respect other people” despite the difficult circumstances.

You be the judge.

This is similar to Saban’s earlier statement that he released Wednesday. You can read about that here.

Alabama looks to bounce back against No. 24 Mississippi State this Saturday at 7 p.m. EST. As of now, no statement has been released on Burton’s status for the game in lieu of the incident.
