Nick Saban’s radio show is a must listen.

The Alabama head coach often uses that platform to complain about how much everyone thinks the Crimson Tide are unbeatable. He’ll also sound off on rat poison or whatever else gets him heated.

And every now and then Saban will address some old rumors.

With Saturday’s game against Texas around the corner, the rumor that Saban was interested in the Longhorns job back in 2013 came up. Saban said he was never interested in being the Longhorns head coach and never talked with anyone at UT about it.

Michael Casagrande of AL.com has the full report.

“You know there was really nothing to be concerned about,” Saban said told Chris Stewart. “You can blame your colleagues on that because they created that. I never talked to these people and you damage relationships when you do that.”

There’s little question that Saban is being truthful when he says he never talked to anyone from Texas. His agent Jimmy Sexton, however, talked to them a whole lot as was reported by the Associated Press through emails they obtained back then.

And the end of the day, Saban decided to stay with the Crimson Tide and has won three more national titles to cement his place as one of the greatest coaches in the history of American football.

Saban will lead Alabama into Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium to take on the Texas Longhorns this Saturday at noon. The game will be shown on FOX.
