Alabama has looked like a completely different team since its Week 2 loss to Texas, and now the Tide are looking for a big win in the SEC Championship to try and secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Nick Saban recognizes that Alabama has seen improvement, and he said it starts on the offensive end and quarterback Jalen Milroe.

“I think the team has improved dramatically in terms of transformation of confidence, playing together, good leadership,” Saban said. “But if you had to say where did we improve the most, I would say it’s probably offensively. The transformation of Jalen Milroe at quarterback, to be productive, has been huge in terms of elevating the confidence of the entire offensive team. The improvement in the offensive line has helped us be able to have a little better balance in the game. The receivers have all played better. If there is a specific area, I would say that would be.”

But he also said that the improvements have come with more confidence as a whole. As the team continued to grow, their confidence level inevitably began to rise.

“I think the team as a whole has also improved because of their confidence, playing with more confidence,” Saban said.

Alabama is looking to hand Georgia its first loss since the 2021 SEC Championship, where the Bulldogs lost to the Tide. Alabama has made a strong case for the CFP, but it needs a win on Saturday to help it land in the top 4.
